Hilbert Space of Probability Density Functions Based on Aitchison Geometry

The set of probability functions is a convex subset of L1 and it does not have a linear space structure when using ordinary sum and multiplication by real constants. Moreover, difficulties arise when dealing with distances between densities. The crucial point is that usual distances are not invariant under relevant transformations of densities. To overcome these limitations, Aitchison＇s ideas on compositional data analysis are used, generalizing perturbation and power transformation, as well as the Aitchison inner product, to operations on probability density functions with support on a finite interval. With these operations at hand, it is shown that the set of bounded probability density functions on finite intervals is a pre-Hilbert space. A Hilbert space of densities, whose logarithm is square-integrable, is obtained as the natural completion of the pre-Hilbert space.     

Runge–Kutta Methods for Itô Stochastic Differential Equations with Scalar Noise

A general class of stochastic Runge–Kutta methods for Itô stochastic differential equation systems w.r.t. a one-dimensional Wiener process is introduced. The colored rooted tree analysis is applied to derive conditions for the coefficients of the stochastic Runge–Kutta method assuring convergence in the weak sense with a prescribed order. Some coefficients for new stochastic Runge–Kutta schemes of order two are calculated explicitly and a simulation study reveals their good performance.     

广义变系数模型的Bayesian B样条估计

提出了广义变系数模型函数系数的一种新的估计方法．我们用B样条函数逼近函数系数,不具体选择节点的个数,而是节点个数取均匀的无信息先验,样条函数系数取正态先验,用Bayesian模型平均的方法估计各个函数系数．这种估计方法一个主要特点是允许各个函数系数所需节点个数的后验分布不同,因此允许不同函数系数使用不同的光滑参数．另外,本文还给出了Bayesian B样条估计的计算方法,并通过模拟例子,说明广义变系数模型的函数系数可以由Bayesian B样条估计方法得到很好的估计．     

Browder-Petryshyn 型的严格伪压缩映射的粘滞迭代逼近方法

主要研究Browder-Petryshyn型的严格伪压缩映射的粘滞迭代逼近过程,证明了Browder-Petryshyn型的严格伪压缩映射的不动点集F(T)是闭凸集．在q-一致光滑且一致凸的Banach空间中,对于严格伪压缩映射T,利用徐洪坤在2004年引进的粘滞迭代得到的序列弱收敛于T的某个不动点．同时证明了Hilbert空间中Browder-Petryshyn型的严格伪压缩映射的相应迭代序列强收敛到T的某个不动点,其结果推广与改进了徐洪坤2004年的相应结果．     

Simultaneous approximation for the Bézier variant of Baskakov-Beta operators

In the present paper, we study the rate of convergence in simultaneous approximation for the Bézier variant of the Baskakov-Beta operators by using the decomposition technique of functions of bounded variation.     

Supercompactness and measurable limits of strong cardinals II: Applications to level by level equivalence

We construct models for the level by level equivalence between strong compactness and supercompactness in which for κ the least supercompact cardinal and δ ≤ κ any cardinal which is either a strong cardinal or a measurable limit of strong cardinals, 2^δ > δ ⁺ and δ is < 2^δ supercompact. In these models, the structure of the class of supercompact cardinals can be arbitrary, and the size of the power set of κ can essentially be made as large as desired. This extends and generalizes [5, Theorem 2] and [4, Theorem 4]. We also sketch how our techniques can be used to establish a weak indestructibility result. (© 2006 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. QUENCHING PROBLEMS OF DEGENERATE FUNCTIONAL REACTION-DIFFUSION EQUATION

This paper is concerned with the quenching problem of a degenerate functional reaction-diffusion equation. The quenching problem and global existence of solution for the reaction-diffusion equation are derived and, some results of the positive steady state solutions for functional elliptic boundary value are also presented.     

Finitely additive integration and local integration with respect to upper integrals

Summary We study the integration theory for general integral metrics when restricted to upper integrals q, finding improvements in the relation between the classes of the q-integrable and the q_l-integrable functions. We give new results and notions which lead to the desirable characterizations of q-integrable functions as q_l-integrable f with q(|f|) < ∞, and of q_l-integrable functions via the integrability of their upper truncations, under natural conditions which are fulfilled in most finitely additive integration theories.     

集值优化问题强有效解的Kuhn Tucker最优性条件

在局部凸空间中考虑集值优化问题（VP）在强有效解意义下的Kuhn-Tucker最优性条件．在近似锥．次类凸假设下利用择一性定理得到了（VP）取得强有效解的必要条件，利用基泛函的性质给出了（VP）取得强有效解的充分条件，最后给出了一种与（VP）等价的无约束规划。
